New York Dolls To Reform

Morrissey has persuaded the New York Dolls to reform for a show in London this June. The band's three surviving members will have former Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin and Libertines drummer Gary Powell for company.

A star-studded panel credits The Beatles as the greatest rock and roll act of the last 50 years. The elite group of judges, including Bruce Springsteen, Chrissie Hynde, Pete Townshend and Slash, also suggested that bears shit in the woods, and confirmed that Pope John Paul II was a Roman Catholic.

The unchecked rise of the Darkness continues as they lead the race for the Brit awards with four nominations; best British group, best album, British breakthrough act, and best rock act. Dido, Dizzee Rascal, Daniel Bedingfield and Busted (why?) all have three nominations. It's been a weak year, obviously.
